Last Saturday April 23rd the association made their first official appearance in Algemesí in the cloister of the Museu de la Festa. At 19:30 the member of the Language Academy Imma Cerda climbed on stage and opened the event with a few words to introduce the group and the show "From the South to the North with Songs and Dances". Dancing started with the Children Section, under the watchful eye of their teachers Deyanira Calado and Ana Lopez, who made a couple of dances which they have been rehearsing during the first part of the course.??
The dancers and musicians were ready on stage and then sounded the first notes of Malaguenya de Sant Gabriel, the first of a number of pieces, some accompanied by a string musicians and others with drum and flute. The corps de ballet, with the teacher Vicent Domènech, welcomed later the Apprentice Section and their teacher Marian Escrivá, who also showed the public that filled the cloister the results of all the work they have been doing since last October.??
After a journey from Alacant to València and Castelló, going through Valencianes and Bolero Vell d'Algemesí, the performance concluded with Seguidilles Arromangades de Llucena, where the stage got filled with 10 pairs of dancers from the adult sections.??
Next Saturday April 30th, in the Main Square of Algemesí, Algadins will perform three pieces from their repertoire at the show "Botifarra a Banda", together with folk singer Pep Gimeno "Botifarra" and the Symphonic Band of Algemesí, and Sunday May 1st they will participate in the 1st Festival Borriana en Dansa.
